The Büyük Juma Jami construction is to begin soon, the Crimean Mufti Emirali-Hajji Ablaev told the Crimean News Agency QHA on August 22.

“There’s no specific unrest concerning the Büyük Juma Jami construction works within the Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea”, the Murti noted. According to him, both Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea and local authorities did everything necessary.

“We did all depending on us and the state, We have all the necessary documents prepared and now we are waiting for the Turkish party to act. This is not just a “mosque in the block” — this building will have capacity to accommodate about 5.000 people. It’s not easy to construct a building like this, and waiting is the only action available for us at the moment”. the Mufti said.

He also pointed out that both the Ukrainian and Turkish governments have full information on the project and control preparation process of all the necessary documents for launching the Akmesjit cathedral mosque construction process.

“This gives me hope there won’t be any troubles within the matter of construction, which we hope is to start in the nearest future. I repeat, there’s no specific unrest concerning the construction process”, the Crimean Mufti said.

As reported earlier by the the RAMC press-secretary, representatives of Turkish State Cooperation and Development Agency (TİKA) ensured that the funds for Büyük Juma Jami construction are already allocated as directed by the Turkish Prime-Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
