Mr.Isa Munaev, a brigadier-general of Ichkeryan (Independent Chechem) Armed Forces and a commander of Jokhar Dudaev International Peacekeeping Battalion, died game on February 1 near Debaltsevo (Donbass, Ukraine). This was steted by Ms.Amina Okueva, press-oficer of the International Peacekeeping Battalion.

“Beind a trainee-leader, he provided covering action for the troops that were withdrawing with pressure after their task was successfully completed. Isa Munaev’s heroism resulted in saving dosens of Ukrainian warriors while he himseld died during the shelling,” — the statement says.

According to Ms.Okueva, none of Munaev’s fighters died in action — he was always ahead in the attack and the last one to leave the battlefield, covering his soldiers’ backs.

In her official statement, the press-secretary of Jokhar Dudaev International Peacekeeping Battalion solicited for post-mortal awarrding the late brigadier-general Isa Munaev with Liberty Order — Ukraine’s Superior Honor Award For Merits To Defernding Ukrainian Independence And Soverenity.

“The Liberty Order is Ukraine’s Superior Honor Award for a foreigner. Is Munaev died game on the battlefield while defending Ukraine from occupants, so he is indeed worth this award,” — she stressed.

As reported earlier by the UNIAN, Isa Munaev and his fighters arrived to Debaltsevo for reinforcement.

information on Munaev’s death was also confirmed by Ukrainian People’s Deputy Mr.Borys Filatov. “Amina Okueva called me, and said: “Yes, it’s true, Isa is dead. He sacrificed his life, but stopped the entrapment from locking”, — the Deputy wrote on his Facebook page.

Jokhar Dudaev International Peacekeeping Battalion was created in March 2014. The fighters were trained in one of Ukrainian training camps for recruits. Isa Munaev, who was a brigadier-general of Ichkeryan (Independent Chechem) Armed Forces and participated in two of the Russian-Chechen wars, was appointed as commander.
