As mentioned earlier, on the threshold of Ramadan-2013 (1434 Hijri) RAMU “Umma” and AUASO “Alraid” traditionally invited foreign theologists for personal enrichment of Ukrainian Muslims. They will spend the Holy month in “Alraid” Islamic Cultural Centres (ICC) in different cities of Ukraine. The shaikhs will be leading collective prayers, teach local muslims to elocute the Holy Qur’an and give lectures.

Shaikh Said Ahmad Mohammad Shukr, who remained in Kyiv, arranges sessions of the Holy Quran declamation before the Asr Prayer, impressing everyone with his special manner of elocution. He was very kind to share his first impression of Ukrainian Muslims with our correspondent.

“I’m Pleasantly Surprised by The Spirit Here And The Way They Treat Me”
“This is my first visit to ukraine, and I thank Allah Who gave me a chance to come here during the Holy Month of Ramadan. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised by local Muslims. Their morals are higher than those I used to see in my Fatherland.

Besides, they show great respect for local imams and spiritual leaders, and render honors to us, the foreign theologists. They aspire after knowledge we can give them and do their best to succeed.

I pray that the Almighty to keep this blessed spirit during the whole month of Ramadan, and that He accepted our worship and prayers!”
