A roundtable on Intercultural cooperation in modern society took place at Kharkiv Islamic Cultural Centre. The matters discussed were related to both Ukraine in general and Kharkiv in part.
The event was facilitated by the Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations “Kharkiv collegium” a member of AUASO “Alraid” Social Organisation “Al-Manar”.
Officials from the city council, University professors and members of local Muslim community were present.
The participants discussed matters of tolerance, interfaith and intercultural relations, influence of stereotypes on public opinion, globalization’s impact on marriage, and dialogue between Islam and other cultures.
Such events are held regularly.
