Yesterday, on the 1st of June, in the Muftiyat of Crimea took place the meeting of the Mufti of Crimea Hajji Emirali Ablaev with directors of 6 Crimean-Tatar Schools during which the parties searched for cooperation ways, discussed general essential problems and planned the ways of their solving.

Special attention was given to spiritual and moral education of pupils.

In particular, the Mufti of Crimea noticed that along with a course "Orthodoxy Basis" in Crimea must be introduced the course "Basis of Islamic Culture".

According to E.Ablaev, at present in Crimea there are no problems with the teaching of the course "Orthodoxy Bases", whereas for the introduction of the course on Islam the authorities place obstacles in every possible way. In his opinion, it is just discrimination on religious ground, approved by the state.

The chairman of the Association of the Crimean-Tatar Educators "Maarifchi", the chief of the Department of Culture and Education of Milli Medzhlis Safure Kadzhametova was even more rigid in estimation of the current situation. In her opinion, the authorities, introducing one course without introducing the other, set before themselves the purpose of religious assimilation of the Crimean Tatars.

"It is not a secret thet they (the authorities, - ed.) conduct language assimilation. Now they started religious assimilation, since in schools there is an active propagation of attending of a course on Orthodoxy bases of the Crimean-Tatar children", stated S.Kadzhametova.

Continuing the topic, the Mufti of Crimea addressed to the directors of schools with request to try their best for teaching in educational institutions of the course "Basis of Islamic culture". For the course introduction the Mufti transferred to each director 50 copies of the textbook "Basis of Religious Knowledge" in the Russian and the Crimean-Tatar languages and also 50 copies of other 37 names of books devoted to Islamic subjects.

Besides, the Mufti called the directors and all teachers to be more attentive to students and, as far as possible, to protect them from influence of radical Islamic sects, which organizations, as it was noted recently, due to the help of authorities in a considerable quantity bred on peninsula, stated E. Ablaev.

Especially attentively the Mufti asked to treat those people who offer their services in teaching of bases of Islam at schools and, before to agree with the given nominee, he advised to find out in Muftiyat, whether the given person is the representative of any radical sect.

"We experienced such cases (when at schools taught radicals, - ed.). Therefore do not trust anyone who offers his teaching services. Call Muftiyat back, ask there about this person, and if he is not suitable, do not let him to approach children, - E.Ablaev said. – Since after children come to them, they forget about their national identity, their family, their Motherland".

Also the Mufti of Crimea asked the directors of the Crimean-Tatar national schools to send graduates for higher education in Azov Medrese.

"I ask you at least about two graduates in a year. It is important for the further spiritual development of the people", - he noted.
