Islam would not pose threat for Christian Europe if Christians adhered to their religious traditions. This was stated in the interview to "Radio Freedom" by the Patriarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kiev patriarchy Philaret.

"If Christians lived according to Christian traditions, if they were Christians not just by the name, but practiced Christianity in life, there were no reduction of the population of Europe and there were no need to apply workers from Muslim Arabic countries", the Patriarch emphasized.

The head of the UOCh KP noticed that Christians and Muslims are united by faith in God and observance of performance of precepts. He recognized that Muslims esteem "Christ as a Prophet, but lesser, than Magomet".

Moral degradation is a problem of the whole Christianity

As a problem of the whole Christianity Patriarch Philaret names deep moral degradation in the Christian world.

"Let us take, for example, these unisex marriages. God forbids it. Everyone who reads the Bible should know that this is a grave sin".

"But after all, this defect extends in the Christian world. These unisex marriages are blessed not only by some states, but also by some churches, basically Protestant, and this is degradation".

He noticed that all Christian churches should pay attention first of all that modern customs are far not Christian.

"Nowadays Christians forget that it is necessary to choose eternal, instead of timely, and choose timely".
