Austria is going to return to Ukraine works of art and ceremonial subjects of the Crimean Tatars which were taken out more than 60 years ago.

As correspondent UNIAN states, the vice-president of the State Committee of Ukraine on affairs of nationalities and religions Victor Pobedonostsev informed about it yesterday, on May, 28, in Simferopol in the course a round table "Welfare adaptation and integration of deported citizens into Ukrainian society".

According to his information, these subjects were revealed in the course of check of exhibits in ethnographic museum in Vienna.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine in Austria carry out work on returning to Ukraine ceremonial subjects of the Crimean Tatars and Karaims", he said.

It is supposed, that taken out after deportation of the Crimean Tatars subjects of art will be returned to Ukraine in 2009, within the framework of the visit of the Federal President of Austria Haynts Fischer.

"Returning of subjects is supposed within the framework of the visit of the Federal President of Austria Fisher to Ukraine which is planned on February - March, 2009", said V.Pobedonostsev.

Replying to the questions of journalists, the vice-president of the State Committee on Affairs of Nationalities and Religions could not specify how many subjects of art and ceremonial subjects will be returned to Ukraine. V.Pobedonostsev added that this information possesses the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

"The prerogative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to be engaged in this question", he said.
