On 20 April, cleanups and tree-planting events were held all over Ukraine.

Tires, wires, single-use packaging, glass, metal, children’s toys and a 6L container full of used medical syringes were the “catch” from Aliuminiieva Balka in downtown Zaporizhzhia. Muslim volunteers from the local ICC “Vira” joined the “Eco Zaporizhzhia” initiative. It took just an hour and a half to collect over a ton of trash, with the syringes the most worrying part of it (for kids could use them in their play).

“Eco Zaporizhzhia” team thanked the Muslims for their participation and diligent work.

On the very same day, Kyiv Muslims, volunteers from the local ICC, joined the annual cleanup of the square at A.P.Romodanov Institute of Neurosurgery. The participants of the event not only gathered the trash, but also cleaned the curds, fixed and painted the benches.
