On the evening of April 1st, Muslims celebrated Ramadan. The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi congratulated them with the arrival of the holy month and wished everyone peace.

Concluding his night video address, the President emphasized that in the month of Ramadan, to all of its virtuous in our country is also added loyalty of Ukrainian Muslims to their comrades and his nation.

“Sincere prayers, mutual forgiveness and good deeds characterize this month. But in Ukraine, another virtue is added – loyalty to comrades and their people in battles. In the battles for the freedom of Ukraine, in the war for independence, in which we will definitely win, it is obligatory for all our land. I sincerely wish you peace! To all – to all Ukraine, to all people of the world!” – said in the greeting.

The Minister of foreign affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba also congratulated the Ukrainian followers of Islam and Muslims of the world:

“Congratulations to the Muslims of Ukraine and the world with the arrival of the blessed month Ramadan! This year Ukraine is entering the blessed month, defending itself from Russian invaders. I believe that the Muslims around the world are uniting in prayers for the long-awaited peace in Ukraine.”
