The picket participants near the building of rayon state administration (RSA) in Edi-Quyu (Lenino) are indignant that the RSA head Anatoly Petrischev has known about the upcoming meeting, allegedly went to Aqmescit (Simferopil) in a two-day trip.

As QHA informs, members of the local majlis of Lenin rayon together with representatives of the Crimean Tatar public organization ‘Avdet’ organized meeting near the building of Lenin rayon state administration demanding to stop the allocation in Kiten (Semenivka) village today, August 3, on the territory where before the deportation period was the Muslim cemetery Aq-Tash and a mosque.

As QHA correspondent reports about it from the ground, the Secretary of RSA in rough form said that there were neither head of department, nor his deputies at their places on the asking of the organizers of the action to tell the Administration head about the meeting and about the picketers’ demands. Moreover, she has called for militia in order to drive the picketers out of the administration building.

The secretary just said toward answering the demonstrators’ question why RSA head has ignored the information about upcoming meeting, more by token, the meeting holding has been given by organizers beforehand, “If you want, write statement again and hold again meeting”.

According to the correspondent, the protesters say about the intention to stand near the RSA building until the rayon authority will not settle the problem.

Moreover, the action participants have taken appeal to the authorities of the rayon demanding immediately to stop construction works at the Muslim religious area of Aq-Tash and in accordance to the Art. 56 of the Constitution of Ukraine, to recover the moral and material damage to all those who has been the victims of ‘bureaucratic lawlessness’ of this situation.
