Cultural-educational Seminar in Crimea gave Muslims Chance to experience Islamic Atmosphere
From April, 29th, to May, 4th, in the village of Nikolaevka of the Simferopol area took place a traditional spring female cultural-educational seminar.
In the seminar took part about 40 Muslims from different cities of Ukraine: Kiev, Lvov, Kharkov, Vinnitsa, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa and Simferopol.
The seminar motto was the ayat from the Quran: "O my Lord! Expand me my breast" (The Holy Quran, 20:25), as it was mainly carried out for sisters who recently started practicing Islam.
The action was organized by the Department of Women, Family, Adolescents and Children of the all-Ukraine Association of Social Organizations "Аlraid" which pursued several purposes: to give basic Islamic knowledge and to fix it on practice, to strengthen faith and sisterly relations.
During the seminar girls listened to the lectures on the following topics: "Bases of faith", "Bases of Iman", "Sistership", "Ethics of mutual relations with non-Muslims", "External and internal hijab", "Halal and haram in premarital relations", "Importance of self-education", "The golden mean in Islam".
Except the lectures during the seminar practical trainings and lessons of reading of the Holy Quran were held, too. On the practical training there were discussed the issues of ablution and namaz.
The cultural-entertaining program included: quizzes, competitions, viewing of films and video clips, playing sports and walks to the sea.
During the seminar Muslim women had an opportunity to plunge into the Islamic environment, to feel sweetness of faith and to realize value of sisterly relations.
"I was glad to participate in this seminar. I learned a lot of new, it was interesting… I would participate once again with great pleasure", Munibe Abkadyrova shares.
"The seminar gives the chance to experience Islamic atmosphere, especially for our new sisters, – other participant of the seminar, Veronica Yakimova, speaks. – After staying there, you involuntarily reflect on your errors, and you want to change for better".
The seminar justified expectations of one more participant – Alie Ablaeva, "The seminar gave excellent possibility to expand a circle of acquaintances and to have a rest from house affairs and to devote all time to acquisition of knowledge and worship to Allah. I was very satisfied! I wish to express huge gratitude to the organizers for this fine possibility".
