The Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea (RAMC) asks heads of Crimean towns, urban villages and villages, as well as Muslim communities to consider more seriously the decision of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people on the registration of land plots allocated for the construction of a mosque and madrasah on Muftiyat, according to its press service.

“All plots of land in Crimea allocated by city, town and village councils as well as by raion state administrations for the construction of religious buildings (mosques, madrasahs) and ancillary facilities must be registered on the Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea with the subsequent transfer to the local Muslim communities,” the Muftiyat’s statement notes.

In view of the above, the RAMC requests to take this information with responsibility and henceforth comply with the decision of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people dated December 5-6, 2009.

“To adjust (remake) on the Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea all decisions previously issued by local self-governing bodies and land development projects on allotment of land plots executed on the local Muslim communities,” reads the document.
It is also noted that land plots allocated for permanent use by the RAMC with built mosques, which are not commissioned yet, are owned by the RAMC.

“Documents of title to these mosques will be registered on the RAMC and then transferred to the books of the local Muslim community,” the RAMC said.
