In Crimea committed two Attacks on Muslim Women
In Simferopol was committed an armed assault on Muslim women. On it the news agency QHA was informed by "The Human rights movement of Crimea".
In particular, legal experts notice that one of the attacks was committed on May, 31st, around Moskaleva and Shyrokaya streets. In the given area the woman of 1980 year of birth suffered from hands of the attacking. They removed her head scarf "hijab", the religious attribute prescribed by the laws of Islam.
The suffered notices that before this action unknown persons shouted in her address, "Remove your scarf, you fool!"
Moreover, the woman was struck on her head with a bottle of beer and was pushed in the open hatch on the road. Thus attacking offended the Muslim woman, threatened her with fast punishment over all Muslims. Saying such words as, 'What, you are forbidden to drink, you are forbidden to adulterate! Here you are, drink!", and poured beer over the woman.
The attacking the woman, as legal experts inform, took her handbag securities and money. The woman was rescued thanks to the passing car which driver picked her up and took her home.
As legal experts mark, the suffered addressed to the police station. She was accepted a statement, and the direction for physical examination was given out.
According to the victim, they did not wish to accept the statement, but on firm persistence it was accepted.
The woman noticed that she connects the event with her identity, as it is not the first case when the attention to her religious attributes is paid.
In militia refuse to connect the attack with the creed of the victim
In the Central Administrative Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Crimea, QHA was informed that in militia arrived the statement from the suffered, however, in it is not stated about any religious or international underlying reason.
"The statement arrived in three days after the incident. As it was informed by the suffered, she was attacked by unknown persons and was robbed, she was stolen a handbag in which there was a mobile phone and money in the sum of ten hrivnas", Olga Kondrashova told to the chief of the department on public relations of the Crimean central board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The chief of the department informed that the given statement was registered in the order established by the law and it is accepted on consideration.
"The question on criminal case excitation is now considered", Kondrashova informed.
The second attack on the Muslim woman occurred in the crowded place
The second case took place on June, 1st, to the girl of 1991 year of birth.
Legal experts tell that the girl, escaping from a strong downpour with hailstones, went down into underground transition around the Kuibyshev market. In the underground transition towards her there came a man and struck her with a sharp blow in hypochondrium. The girl sat down from pain. Nearby standing woman screamed, "What are you doing, you, young man?", then the attacking disappeared in the crowd.
The girl described appearance of the attacking. The suffered specified that she was the only woman wearing a scarf in the transition. What causes indignation is the fact that the transition was full of people who also sheltered from bad weather.
The Muslim woman marks, that not for the first time she endures insults, hateful glances, sneers. That, unfortunately, according to the girl, became norm in the society, and she even ceased to pay attention to it. But after the case in the transition the girl stays in a stressful condition.
On the case in point law enforcement officers have no information as, according to the chief of the department on Public Relations of the SA of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the ARC, Olga Kondrashova, the suffered did not address with the statement in militia.
"We learned about this incident from the Internet", the Crimean militia noted.
Mass media provoke anti-Islamic moods
Legal experts are convinced that the given incidents are a consequence of regular introduction in mass-media of prejudiced information on Islam and Muslims where they are very often described negatively. It leads to formation in the society of Islamophobia and provokes aggressive reaction to Islamic attributes.
"The human rights movement of Crimea" is deeply anxious by the events and calls all public and religious organizations of Crimea irrespective of national and confessional identity to express their uncooperative altitude to xenophobia and intolerance display.
