An opportunity to do something together is very important for children; it is true for not only games, but also for learning something new. They prefer to learn something new not only in a good company, but in an interactive form with breaks for talks and games. These peculiarities were considered by activists of the women’s department at the public organization “Al-Amal” incorporated in the AAPO “Alraid” in organizing five days long summer seminar for children.

The seminar was held in the Islamic Cultural Center of Donetsk, from May 28 till June 1, 2012, with sponsorship from the RAMU “Ummah”. It was attended by 55 children from Donetsk and Lugansk regions, accompanied by two female teachers.

The seminar gave the children a chance in not only enhancing their Islamic knowledge, but in finding new friends and having a good time. Together they listened to a series of lectures about morality, lives of prophets, brotherhood and many other topics; learned the Koran and rules of namaz (prayer). Together they went for a walk visiting Donetsk dolphinarium and park “Victoria”, and played sport games on the school stadium.

The children took active part in all the seminar events, and had gifts and deeds at its end. Organizers specifically mentioned excellent discipline and zeal in learning the Holy Koran by heart, demonstrated by Elkin Kerimov and Ramin Mahmudov from Konstantinovka, Ibrahim Gimadutin from Kiev, as well as Samira Assawi, Ibrahim Zots, Mariam Gismatulina, Islam Gimadutin and others.

Children acquired new knowledge and had a lot of pleasure, and spoke out the desire to get to the similar seminar in future.
