The President of Ukraine Permanent Representative in Crimea Viktor Plakida invited the Mufti of Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea Emirali Ablaev in order to wish him a blessed Ramadan and discuss the current situation on the peninsula.

The meeting took part in the Office of President of Ukraine Permanent Representative in Crimea on July 8, 2013, involving the Deputy Mufti of RAMC Aider Ismailov and the Deputy Permanent Representative in Crimea Ibraim Mamutov.

The participants discussed issues regarding strengthening interethnic and interfaith peace and understanding in Crimea, construction of the Great Cathedral Mosque (Büyük Cuma Camii) in Simferopol’ (Cr.Tat. Akmescit), and also celebration of the 700 anniversary of Khan Uzbek Mosque in Stary Qrym (Cr.Tat. Eski Qırım).

In the en dof the meeting Emirali-hajji Ablaev presented Viktor Plakida with five-volume Meanings of The Holy Qur’an Elucidation. On his part, Mr. Plakida presented the Mufti with a ceremonial note congratulating Muslims in Crimea and all over Ukraine with a Holy Month of Ramadan, and also a Copy of three-language edition of “The Crimea” magazine.
