Following the events on the night of February 18 to 19, when many protesters were shot dead by the law enforcement officers, Head of AUASO "Alraid" called upon the society to stop the bloodshed, which only hardens the tension between the both parties. “As all the patriots of Ukraine, we keep track of the events in the country. Our religion teaches us how important it is to keep the society safe. For that reason, all of our Islamic Cultural Centres and social organisations must play a seminal role in Ukraine’s current situation. ...

We call upon every Muslim and every visitor of our ICCs to keep self-control and refrain from aggressive behaviour and provocations against anyone at all. Our decided opinion is that we can overcome the crisis with dialogue and mutual understanding.

Nothing must diminish the value of a human life, this priceless gift of the Creator - neither ethnicity, nor language, nor political and religious views. We all must put maximum effort to stop the bloodshed and reinstate peace in our common Homeland.

And then again, today Ukraine desperately needs our prayers for the God to keep us safe from the chaos and violence, so that every region of the country was free from any danger.”
