Russia’s Federal Security Service confiscates classic Muslim literary works, having announced them as “extremist materials”. “Sahih al-Bukhari” and “The Gardens of the Righteous”, that are collections of Prophet Muhammad’s statements and actions, are also on the forbidden list.

This statement was made on November 25 by Mufti of RAMU “Umma” Mr.Said Ismagilov at a press-conference. “Two attacks against the mosques were registered in Crimea in 2014, on June 12 and November 12, and 18 Muslims were kidnapped during that period of time,” — he said.

The Mufti noted that the number of rummages not only at Mosques and medreses, but also at the homes of common Muslim families, increased dramatically lately. The officers mostly look for the forbidden literature and arms. No incidents like those ever occurred during the time of Ukraine’s independence.

“Something like that never happened in Ukraine — there were neither rummages nor arsons,” — the Mufti said.

It’s been reported earlier that unknown individuals attempted to arson the Solnechnauya Dolina mosque (Sudaq region) in the night of november 12. According to Mr.Edem Muslimov, the local Imam, the plotters set one window on fire after they intruded to the first flood and laid the firewood all over the place.
