Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk referred to systematic persecution of Crimean Tatars as "Kremlin's sentence".

On the occasion of the International Day of Indigenous Peoples he reiterated on his Facebook page to support for the Crimean Tatar people, who "don't submit to the occupation authorities and fight for the right of self-determination in their very own land."

"I would also like to reassure Crimean Karaites and Krymchaks that our state guarantees the preservation and development of their identity as indigenous peoples of Ukraine, whose historical homeland is Crimea," said Yatsenyuk.

Moreover, on Sunday, the International Day of World's Indigenous People, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine released a report about systematic violations and disregard for the rights of the indigenous people of Crimea - Crimean Tatars.

"On the day when the international community pays tribute to the significant contribution of indigenous peoples to the world civilization, indigenous peoples of Crimea are forced to confront tyranny of the Russian occupation power. Deprived of the right to live freely in their historic homeland, indigenous peoples of occupied Crimea are experiencing increasingly strong pressure from the Russian repressive machine," statement of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry read.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the Russian occupation authorities blatantly ignore the fundamental rights of the Crimean Tatar people, who over 70 years ago, has experienced the tragedy of forced deportation.

The ministry also stressed once again that Russia must end its occupation of the Crimea, violations of basic human rights and freedoms and the displacement of indigenous peoples of the peninsula.

Earlier, the chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, speaking to participants Second World Congress of Crimean Tatars in Ankara, said that the Crimean Tatars are forced to "experience a new variant of genocide", implemented by "talented successor of the USSR - Putin's Russia."
