“March For Life”, attended by the city’s Christians and Muslims, was held on September 27, the “061” Portal reports.
Both parishioners of the main Christian Churches of Zaporizhzhya and Imam on Zaporizhzhya Islamic Cultural Centre with his parishioners came along for the event.
The activists marched from Shevchenko Boulevard to Festivalna Street, where a concert was arranged and word was given to representatives of different religious organisations.
According to the participants, their aim was to draw public attention to abortions issue they consider as murder of unborn children. According to them, about 1,000 of such operations are carried out daily in Ukraine.
During the event, appeals not to overview the Constitutional provision of a marriage as a union between a man and a woman were also voiced. Representatives of Zaporizhzhya Christian Churches also drafted a respective appeal for the President of Ukraine.
