By results of regional presentations and poll of 100 experts in the field of tourism, architecture, history and culture, at the second stage of the action 21 finalists of the action were defined.

From August, 22nd, till December, 1st, 2011, on the official site of the action proceeded open Internet voting. At the same time all-Ukraine poll of experts was carried out, too.

So, into 7 wonders of Ukraine in the category "Locks, fortresses palaces" entered: Akkermansky (Belgorod-Dniester) fortress (the Odessa region), the Alupkinsky (Vorontsovsky) palace (Crimea), the Kamenets-Podolsky fortress (the Khmelnitskiy region), the Lutsk Top lock (the Volynsk region), the Mitropolichy palace (Chernovtsy), the palace in Kachanovka (the Chernigov region), the Hotinsky fortress (the Chernovitsky region).

The monument of the world value

In autumn, 2001, started the procedure of inclusion of the Bakhchsarai Khansky palace in the List of objects of the World heritage of UNESCO that confirms the status of the reservation as a history and culture monument of not only all-Ukraine, but also universal value.

The Khansky palace in Bakhchisarai was built as patrimonial residence of Geray dynasty - governors of the Crimean khanate. Throughout two and a half centuries (since 1532 till 1783), the Bakhchsarai palace served as a center of political, spiritual and cultural life of the state of the Crimean Tatars.

The palace has the same importance nowadays. First of all it is a national relic of the Crimean-Tatar people. It ranks high in the world literary tradition, too.

The Bakhchsarai palace is the major historical monument of the epoch of the Crimean khanate, the unique sample in the world of the Crimean-Tatar palace architecture, and also unique for Europe (along with palaces of Algambra in Spain and Top-Kapy in the European Turkey), the complete palace complex of the Middle-Eastern civilization circle.

Note. The national action of "7 miracles of Ukraine" was founded by the Fund "Native land" in 2007. Then, according to the results of the action, the country defined "7 historically-architectural miracles of Ukraine", and in 2008 took place the second stage of the action - "7 natural miracles of Ukraine".
