Crimea held on Tuesday a literary and artistic programme devoted to mother tongue in Aqmescit.

Crimea held on Tuesday a literary and artistic programme devoted to mother tongue in Aqmescit, reported Crimean News Agency.

The important cultural event was organised by Crimean Tatar non-govermental organisation Qardasliq (Brotherhood) by support of the Majlis of Crimean Tatar people, Crimean Tatar Educator Association Maarifçi and Crimean Tatar Drama and Music Theatre.

Aim of the event named "Mother tongue! Live for a long time!" is to demonstrate a beauty and wealth of the Crimean Tatar language as well as to pay the public attention to current situation of Crimean Tatar and problems of its use now, said the head of head of the Crimean Tatar NGO Qardasliq Zaur Halkec.

Halkec said that author of given event Elvira Bari, a literary and artistic programme composed of three parts that will disclose theme of the past and the present of the Crimean Tatar language and its future.

"The theatre's actors will demonstrate how the Crimean Tatars spoke in mother tongue in the past, how they are speaking now as well audience will see the future of mother tongue" – Mrs. E. Bari noted.

She said despite all problems associated with use of the Crimean Tatar language this performance will have optimistic character.

Moreover, by E. Bari's information, they plan a speech of well-known pedagogue Seyran Usein who will recite his poetry and lyric works as well he will deliver a lecture of importance of mother tongue for our people.

Childre's folk group Cemile and theatre's ballet dancers will adorn given literary evening by their performances.
