The Crimean Tatar NGO Cemaat of Novorossiysk town of Krasnodar Territory (Russia) plans to shoot a full-length feature film about the history of the Crimean Tatars. QHA is told by the leader of Cemaat Rolan Qashqa.

He noted that the film will be called upon to tell the whole world about the real history of this nation with centuries-old traditions. At the present the organization is developing a programme of the competition holding to the best screen script of the film. Sponsors will be attracted to finance the project.

There are five members of the Cemaat who will come to Crimea where they will meet with the Crimean Tatar youth organizations and discuss the ideas of creating this film with them in the middle February of this year in order to settle the organizational problems of the project.

“We want to shoot a feature film about the Crimean Tatars of the Hollywood level. It will be a historic reel of film. At the present we are thinking of screen script and hold the negotiations with the directors. Unfortunately, there are not enough of good script writers among our people who write quality stories. But we shall hold a contest for the best screen script and the winner will receive honorarium”- Rolan Qashqa said.

It is not specified when the world will watch this film but the NGO members hope that the shooting would be started within the next future.
