Bodies of the Office of Public Prosecutor of Crimea raised a criminal case upon the illegal privatization of the cinema of Franko in the city of Alupka (Bolshaya Yalta), on which place the mosque was earlier situated.

Building of the cinema of Franko is located in the historical center of Alupka, and earlier on this place there was a mosque with a minaret.

Several years ago the Yalta authorities discussed the issue on transfer of this building to the Muslim community.

However subsequently the cinema was privatized by the former mayor, Andrey Haritonov, and the premise was used as a night club, marks the edition Krym24.

According to the source, in Alupka city council a criminal case following the results of check of legality of privatization of the given object was opened, in which course the documentation in the Fund of the municipal property was wisdrawn.
