Yesterday, on April 30, the Head of the Council of Ministries of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (ARC CM) Victor Plakyda had conducted a meeting of the Republican organizing committee for the Commemoration Day of Deportation Victims. Given meeting was attended by the representatives of ministries and agencies, the Crimean Verkhovna Rada, Simferopil municipality, ethnic and cultural NGOs.
QHA is informed about this by the press secretary of the Crimean Premier Oleksandr Zvezdin.
According to this information, the ARC Government’s resolution stipulates a financing of these events at the expense of ARC budget that were allocated to implementation of the Plan for resettlement and social and cultural development of formerly deported citizens in the ARC.
Wreath-laying ceremonies on behalf of the Verkhovna Rada and the Council of Ministries of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Office of the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the ARC, the executive committee of Simferopil city council to memorial signs in the railway station, Salgirka Park and on Lenin Boulevard will be taken placed on April 15. On April 18 the mourning meeting commemorated to victims of 1944 Deportation is planned on the central square of Simferopil.
