The mayor of Kiev Leonid Chernovetsky ordered to allocate in the capital hospitals "rooms" for Muslims, Orthodox, Catholics and Protestants on purpose to provide "a direct way to God". The initiative of the mayor is stated by his commission from April, 3rd, 2009.

In the document is stated the following, "I ask you immediately to allocate one room for the Muslims, one room for Orthodox, one room for Catholics, and one room for Protestants in every hospital, especially in oncological and others. It is a direct way to God!" writes "Zerkalo Nedeli".

Letters with such a reference were sent to hospitals. Rooms for believers were obliged to equip 1, 2, 3 and 11 clinical hospitals, 2 children's hospital and maternity home №6.

In the letter it is specified that in these hospitals there are Orthodox chapels, therefore it is necessary to comply representatives of other faiths.

As it was told to the journalists of "Segodnya" in the 1st city hospital, the letter really came, and the administration decides what to do. "There is no much money for medicine and so there is not enough money to be engaged in these "innovations", they said in administration. The same they say in the other hospitals from the list.

As Lyudmila Kachurova, the head of the Central Board of Public Health Services informed, this is an offer, not a must.

By "Zerkalo Nedeli" and "Segodnya".
