Today, 13 July more than 2 thousands of Crimean Tatars gathered to support the Crimean Tatar protest action against the land lawlessness in Crimea, which is taking place under the walls of Cabinet Ministers (CMU), in Simferopil by the Verkhovna Rada (VR) of Crimea.
It should be noted, this protest action holds already 65 days in the square in front of CMU. 65 days people representing the interests of 20,000 families who live on the peninsula, demand to the effective action on settling the land issue in Crimea from the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko.
The meeting was organized by NGO Avdet. The meeting was attended by more than 2 thousand of Crimean Tatars who represent 56 ‘protest glades’ of Crimea, as one of the leaders of the NGO Avdet Rinat Shaymardan said to QHA.
Also the meeting was attended by representatives of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people. Organizers of the meeting noted the protest action in Kyiv lasts 65 days and it achieved some results, particularly the committee, which audits the land, is working in Crimea. The results of land inspections will be directed to CMU to prevent the land spoliation in Crimea.As a result of this meeting, protesters approved their resulution by which they demand from the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea Anatolii Hrytsenko to step in this situation.
