The Head of the country addressed to his Muslim compatriots on his Press-service website and stressed the importance of this feast for the believers and that of course its purpose is peace and helping those who are around.
The President of Ukraine wished the Ukrainian Muslims that their prayers during these blessed days strengthened the Ummah and inspired them for good deeds for the benefit of the Muslim community and Ukrainian society as a whole.
Mr. Yanukovych also wished the Muslims health, wealth and domesticity
Mr. President wasn’t the only statesman to do so. Maire of Odessa, Alexei Kostusev, in his compliments letter wished that this great feast united not only Muslims, but also connected all the rest of the city religious communities with bounds of friendship and good neighbourship.
