The Ukrainian seaman Alexander Martsioha after 10 months spent under guards in the United Arab Emirates returned on September, 1st, to his home in Sevastopol.

According to the vice-consul of the embassy of Ukraine in the United Arab Emirates, Ruslana Nefedova, releasing of the seaman became possible due to charitable donation of the Muslim businessman, who wished to remain unknown.

The day before, on August, 31st, he granted the necessary sum of the repayment and the penalty at a rate of 206 thousand Dirhams (56,135 thousand US dollars). The ticket for the plane of the company "Turkish Airlines" to native Sevastopol was bought by his former employer Seraj al-Ali.

Alexander Martsioha since March, 2007, worked under the contract in the United Arab Emirates in the company "Whitesea Shipping and Supply Co." (Sharja Emirate) as 2nd mechanic on a vessel "Orel", informs Islam for All referring to UKRINFORM.

His misadventures started in the summer of last year when A.Martsioha casually became a cause of death of the Kenyan diver - Alexander started the vessel engine while the diver cleaned screws.

The court of Sharja Emirate recognized the seaman guilty of unpremeditated murder of the citizen of Kenya and the use of alcohol and sentenced A.Martsioha to penalty payment in the sum of 6 thousand Dirhames (1 635 US dollars) and 200 000 Dirhames (54,5 thousand US dollars) as "blood money" for the family of the diver.

The family of Alexander had no such a huge amount of money, according to the Ukrainian measures, and A. Martsioha could not earn them independently, as his documents were in the court, and he could receive them only after the penalty repayment. Then searches of means for releasing of the Ukrainian began.

Alexander's family, in which the seaman was the only supporter, and the Ukrainian vice-consul made a lot to help Alexander.

The wife of the seaman Inna searched for possibilities in Ukraine, pestering offices of officials and having called to the aid of mass-media, and R.Nefedova - in the United Arab Emirates, addressing to the charitable, religious organizations, and the governor of Sharja, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Kasimi, with request to pay the repayment.

However the help came from the businessman in the holy for Muslims month of Ramadan which calls believers to mercy and charity.
