In the village of Yedi-Khuyu at the buildings of administration and the Verhovnaya Rada of Crimea in Simferopol the actions against vandalism organized by the local authorities at the Muslim graveyard Ak-Tash (which is located on the territory of Kiten village) were held.
Rallies are organized by the local Majlis of Yedi-Khuyu and the people of the village with the support of public organization "Avdet", writes news agency QHA.
"After deportation of Crimean Tatars’ the communist mode destroyed the graveyards on which many generations of our ancestors rest. Then it was ascribed to Stalin. And who will response for nowadays’ disturbances in Crimea?", - this was the main question of the rally’s participants who came for the defence of Crimean Tatars’ historical heritage.
They particularly announced that local authorities dispense the ancient entombments of Crimean Tatars for cottages: "That is not just vandalism, but purposeful genocide against Crimean Tatar people, an outrage over our grandparents’ memory and systematical destruction of the historical heritage of Crimean Tatars".
"Murrelets who remember the location of cemeteries are still alive, by means of archaeological surveys it is still possible to prove the anciency of our settlements. Neither of nationalities has more solid arguments", - residents of the village Kiten has underlined.
The resentment of the participants was eventually heard by the highest authorities – Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovnaya Rada of Crimea Sergey Tzekov came out to them, received a salutation and promised to hand it in to the Speaker of the Crimean parliament Anatoliy Gritzenko.
Besides, the participants of the rally decided to give the officials time to make decisions. They also enacted that the next action of protest would be held at the building of the Verkhovnaya Rada of Crimea in the 17th August, 2009. "If by that time the officials don’t meet people’s requirements, an unlimited action of protest will be announced, stalls and iron drum-barrels, which long ago became symbols of the struggle for democracy, will be installed", - noted in the announcement of the action of protest.
As "Islam in Ukraine" informed before, in the 3d of August, in the village Yedi-Khuyu about 60 people gathered at the building of administration with a demand to cease the admeasurement of land lots near village Kiten, on the territory where there was a Muslim graveyard Ak-Tash before the deportation period. As the Chairman of a local Majlis of Yedi-Khuyu district Zevid Gaziyev asserted, the administration began at early 90s and continues to admeasure land lots to the "richmen" of Kiyev and Moscow for the development of cottages on the lands where there were a Muslim graveyard and a mosque, which was in the 70s of the last century fully dismantled, and its bricks were used as a material during the construction of hutments and fences in a village Azovskoye.
"As the constructional works started, human remains began to come out to surface. Walk the cottage paths and you’ll see human bones", - Z. Gaziyev emphasized. According to him, oldbies tell that some time ago there was a Muslim graveyard, the last burial on which was made in April, 1944.
At the same time neither the owners nor local authorities, as per the Chairman of the local Majlis, doesn’t react to such findings on their lands, and bones continue to lie in the open.
