While Crimean Muftiyat struggled with Khizb-at-Tahrir and Wahhabis, in Crimea appeared Habashis - adherents of the Islamic sect forbidden in many countries. And though they are not radicals and not fundamentalists, nevertheless they threaten the original Islam of the Crimean Tatars, consider scholars of religion. About this informed Religious Information Service of Ukraine in September, 12, referring to the Radio Freedom.

Recently in the Crimean mosques they pray differently. Now in the autonomy operate 330 communities subordinated to the local Muftiyat - Spiritual administration of Moslems of Crimea. There is professed traditional for the peninsula Hanafism. Nevertheless, in the recent years in Crimea appeared about 40 independent Moslem communities which are influenced by Wahhabis and adherents of Khizb-at-Tahrir.

At the same time the Committee on affairs of religions of the Council of Ministers of ARC intents to register a number of new Moslem communities. At this time they are adherents of one more alien in Crimea Islamic school - Habashism. The head of the Committee Vladimir Maliborsky says that he cannot refuse the request of registration of the believers, "It is an intra-Islamic problem. Islam today is dissimilar. Today we have already 11 applications for new communities. They are adherents of Ahmed Tamim, the head of Spiritual administration of Moslems of Ukraine. These people say that they create new communities because they are not satisfied with the Crimean Muftiyat, say, it is inactive", said Vladimir Maliborsky.

Sheikh Ahmed Tamim in his interview to the Crimean press denied his participation in creation of new Moslem communities of Habashis in Crimea though he concerns to this school, too. However, he declared that he does not divide Moslems into "ours" and "theirs". Nevertheless the head of Spiritual administration of Moslems of Crimea Hajji Emirali Ablayev says that he is worried about the inflow on peninsula of emissaries from other countries and liberalism of the Ukrainian legislation, "Today Habashism, Wahhabism, Khizb-at-Tahrirism and other sects develop in Crimea in a very active way. We live in the democratic state, but the current law "About the freedom of worship and religion in Ukraine" does not work. It should be completely reconsidered. Otherwise no one and nothing can protect religious unity of the Crimean-Tatar people in Crimea from these sects", considers Hajji Emirali Ablayev.

In opinion of Crimean expert Lenur Yunusov, active coming of Habashis to Crimea threatens not only religious unity of the Crimean Tatars, "It threatens ethnic and religious identity of the Crimean-Tatar people. It is known that Habashi sect that is forbidden in many Islamic countries appeared in Lebanon, the motherland of the sheikh Ahmed Tamim. Though Habashism is a school of non-fundamentalist tradition, nevertheless its appearance disturbs. As for the Crimean Islam which has no ancient traditions, just some centuries, any outside influence is a threat of destruction of religious identity of the Crimean Tatars", considers Lenur Yunusov.
