First Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Emine Dzheppar at the high-level meeting within the framework of the UN General Assembly speaks about Ukraine's achievements in the implementation of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

She wrote this on her Facebook page.

"Ukraine has concrete achievements in recognizing the Crimean Tatars as indigenous people and recognizing the right to self-determination, according to Article 3 of the Declaration. I said about the draft law on the status of the Crimean Tatars registered in the parliament, etc.," the official said.

According to Dzheppar, she also told about the role of the Russian Federation in repressions against the Crimean Tatars, ignoring by the Kremlin of the interim decision of the International Court of Justice against the Crimean Tatars and Mejlis.
