Ceremony of laying of the foundation stone of future Muslim Religious Complex (MRC) including a mosque took place in Sofievka village of Simferopil region, 28 June.
Mufti of Crimea haji Emirali Ablayev and First Deputy Chairman of the Majlis of Crimean Tatar people, President of the World Congress of the Crimean Tatars Refat Chubar visited this event.
During the ceremony as the head of local Muslim community Server Hasan explained that everybody waited the day when the construction of a mosque would start in the village for several years. According to him, Simferopil state region administration through various excuses refused to allocate a land plot more than three years. “However, thanks to personal assistance of the Deputy Head of Republican Committee for Land Resources Enver Cemaleddin we have got 0.9 hectares for construction of the complex in the end of last year”, - said S. Hasan.
Then the fund raising for construction of the centre in village were announced and after receiving first funds, preparatory work for construction has begun, as Head of the Muslim community noted.
“We looked for sponsors too long but decided not to wait for help and began to build the complex by ourselves. Allah be thanked, the local population positively reacted to a charitable initiative and actively they made donations”, - said S. Hasan.
Mufti of Crimea E. Ablayev communicating with villagers who gathered at the ceremonial foundation laying, said that the Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea surely will help to find donors to the community, which will give the construction of complex a lift.
“Muftiyat will do everything he can do in order to help the community”, - said E. Ablayev.
R. Chubar promised to help too and he noted the Muslim community of Sofievka can become a role model for other communities in a question how we can jointly settle local problems.
