A marquee that will be able to accept about 200 believers for iftar (ritual supper during the Holy Ramadan month) every day, is installed on the territory of the Kebir Djami mosque in Simferopil. It was informed to the QHA by the Assistant Mufti of Crimea's Moslems Hayder effendi Ismail.
According to him, this marquee (or chadır in Crimean Tatar - Ed.) is to gather the believers for iftar already today – at the first day of the Holy Ramadan month for Moslems and it is planned that all who wish will be able to come for iftar to mosque till Ramadan ends.
There are separate tables for men and women.
According to the Assistant Mufti, this year chadır is organized by the Religious Administration of the Crimean Moslems together with Crimean Merhamet (Mercy) charitable fund.
'This tradition lasts few years and this year it was decided to continue in the Muftiyat because it is a good deed' - H. Ismail said.
He has informed that the arrangements during Ramadan month are being held by each religious community at places.
The religious community of Eski Qırım (Stariy Krym) holds chadır, drawing Crimean entrepreneurs.
As QHA was informed, the Department on Religious Affairs of Turkey (Diyanet) will arrange iftars at the Seit-Settar mosque in Simferopil.
