Among 80 Muslim mosques built on the territory of the Autonomous Republics of Crimea since 1991, only 12 are legally registered and have all necessary documents. According to representatives of the SMMC, this situation developed mainly because of caused difficulties at registration of legal documents on the constructed cult buildings.
About it on August, 18 informed the chairman of the Republican Committee of the ARC on Affairs of Religions Vladimir Maliborsky at press conference in Simferopol.
As he stated, registration of legal documents on cult buildings and questions of protection of monuments of sacral culture is one of the greatest challenges, demanding the immediate decision, informs news agency QHA.
V.Maliborsky noticed that the majority of the mosques which do not have legal documents are constructed on "protest glades" which are not registered legally, too.
"These are Balaklavsky, Mirnoe, and also Evpatoria and Chistenkoe. In total, in Simferopol region there are about 30 such mosques", the chairman of the Republican Committee on Religions specified.
In his turn, on July, 10th, the adviser of the Mufti of the Spiritual Management of Muslims of Crimea on international relations Arsen Alchikov in Commission Session at Ministerial Council of Crimea concerning property returning and restoration of rights of religious organizations, stated, that the Crimean Muslims face considerable difficulties at registration of legal documents on the constructed cult buildings.
"About 60 new mosques in Crimea have no commissioning certificate because no one assists us, all put obstacles in our way. We have no possibility to make everything according to the law", A.Alchikov commented.
According to V.Maliborskiy, the level of provision with cult constructions of Muslims in Crimea is better, than of Orthodox Christians and makes 75 % against 53 %. The chairman of the Republican Committee on Religions noticed that on the territory of an autonomy there was no any case of refusal in land allocation under mosque building, the situation concerning building of the Cathedral Mosque in Simferopol is an only exception.
In total, on the territory of the autonomy, under the data of the Republican Committee of the ARC on affairs of religions, since 1991 till now, there are built 166 cult objects, out of which 42% are registered. Also without official commissioning function more 27 constructed cult buildings belonging to other faiths.
