Saudi Arabia and Ukraine developed new strategy of mutual relations for the purpose of cooperation strengthening in various fields, such as trade, defense, tourism and agriculture.
On Tuesday the Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, prince Salman, and the Ukrainian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Konstantin Grishchenko, carried out negotiations on which the agreement on activation of cooperation in the field of defense was reached. First of all it is planned to create the commission on studying of possibilities of such cooperation, the press secretary of the Ukrainian embassy, Konstantin Zhumenko, informed.
The head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also met the Saudi colleague, Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Minister of Agriculture, Fahd Balghunaim, and the heads of other ministries and departments.
The parties discussed some issues concerning both of them, including events in the Middle East and the problems of global level.
Kiev supported the Saudi position concerning intensity in the Middle East.
Ukraine also expressed anxiety concerning numerous cases of piracy in the eastern part of the Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Aden and suggested to activate the teamwork on struggle against this phenomenon.
