The Ukrainian Parliament committee for Human Rights, concerned about the events taking place at the Independence Square on November 30 and numerous applications filed by the demonstrants, carried out its decision “On Enforcing the Rights Of People Detained For Participation In Protesting Actions On November 30 - December 1 In Kyiv.”

The Committee charged itself with obligations of controlling all the criminal investigations started after the night of November 30 - December 1, close cooperation with the Public Prosecution Office, and also sent its representatives to the demonstrations held in custody for a fair trial.


According to the up-to-date information the government officials and oppositional leaders agreed with Mr.Thorbjørn Jagland, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe that these events are to be investigated by specialists from Europe. thus, the investigation group of consultants will have one member from the opposition, one from the government and one member of the international community.
