February 19, round table ‘Public libraries to help preserve and revive the Crimean Tatar language’ dedicated to the International Mother Tongue Day was held in the reading hall of the Crimean Tatar İ. Gaspralı’s Library with the Crimean Tatar Educators Association Maarifchi.
The main topics of discussion were the problems and prospects of the current state of the Crimean Tatar language, QHA informs.
Bibliographer of the informational and bibliographic department of the I. Gaspral’s Library Zarema Islam presented textbooks and dictionaries of the Crimean Tatar language, published in the pre-war years.
Also the Alexander Goryainov and Refat Zekera’s textbook ‘Dogru yazamz’ (We spell correctly) was presented during the event. The purpose of this interesting textbook is to explain readers in plain Crimean Tatar the rules, in accordance with which you cannot make mistakes in the spelling of the Crimean Tatar language.
The textbook is for a high readership. Crimean Tatar language fundamental are written on this textbook in the original form as in Cyrillic script, so in Roman characters.
