Dnipropetrovsk region is ready to help Crimean Tatars

In Dnipropetrovsk Mr. Mustafa Jemilev and the governor of Dnipropetrovsk region Mr. Igor Kolomoiski signed memorandum in relation their partnership.

The official website of the Regional government department has informed of this. The main purpose of the agreement is the development of relations, strengthening of friendship and respect between the Crimean-Tatar people and the other residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region.


The memorandum includes 17 points raising questions in, relation to cultural, social and religious collaboration as well as assistance towards forced migrants from the Crimea region in relation towards a solution for domestic issues. In addition the body of the article places more emphasis upon other relevant political matters. The parties bind themselves towards support of the Crimean-Tatar people as native within the Crimean peninsula to fight for the return of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea into a sovereign and independent Ukrainian state. In accordance with another point of the memorandum the Cabinet of Ministers was handed a request in relation to the creation of a ministerial department specializing with questions in relation towards the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to regulate questions related to the defense of interests towards the citizens of the recently annexed territory.


Upon completion of the meeting and signing of documents the participants gave a joint press conference for local and regional media.


During his visit in Dnipropetrovsk Mr. Mustafa Jemilev also met with students of local higher education institutions at the Academy of custom services of Ukraine. He also visited the headquarters of national security for the region. In addition the leader of Crimean Tatars had a meeting with the members of the Muslim community of the city and visited the local mosque.
