The speaker of the Mejlis of the Crimean-Tatar people, Mustafa Dzhemilev, declared that the Crimean Tatars are anxious about results of the referendum which took place in Switzerland about interdiction for new minarets building. As he said, approval by Swisses of this interdiction can become "dangerous precedent" and extend to Ukraine.

As an example for irreconcilable Europeans Dzhemilev put the Crimean Khanate where "Khans even financed building of Christian churches", informs "Islam for all" referring to lenta.ru.

"But nowadays we see other moods. In Holland, for example, right forces too were inspired and wish to hold a referendum. It is, of course, a bad precedent. Ukraine is a tolerant enough country, though, of course, the level of democracy here is much lower. Therefore I do not exclude such a threat", the speaker of the Mejlis shared his fears.

He supported his words with that fact that the Simferopol mayoralty does not allocate land under building of a cathedral mosque.

As it was informed before, the majority of inhabitants of Switzerland supported an interdiction for building in the country new minarets. Authors of this idea proved to fellow citizens that minarets do not concern religion, being symbols of political domination of Islam.

Opponents of this idea accused initiators of the interdiction of the intolerant relation to religious minority.
