A madrasah, under the Uzbek Khan mosque in Eski Qırım town (Staryi Krym), after 66 years of oblivion will resume its activity 28 October of this year. QHA was informed about it by the leader of the Eski Qırım Muslim community hajji Rasim Sadriddin.
According to him, the ceremonial opening will be at 1.30 p.m.
20 young Crimean Muslims will get religious education in this madrasah.
It should be mentioned that the madrasah by the Uzbek Khan mosque worked in 1333 till 1943 until it was destroyed by a direct hit of the aerial bomb. It was reconstructed several times but since that time it was in ruins.
The boys studied the Koran, philosophy, the Arabic language, rhetoric, astronomy, logic, jurisprudence in this madrasah for several centuries. After getting religious education, students have become mullahs, cadis - judges, philosophers.
According to hajji Rasim Sadriddin, besides, other religious lessons apart, students will study general subjects, computer science. Graduating students of the Qalay (Azovske) town madrasah will teach them.
As QHA reported earlier, the Islamic Development Bank allocated 125 thousand hryvnyas in its days for realization of the project on madrasah reconstruction.
