For First Time in Ukraine to be Held International Competition of Quran Readers

The all-Ukraine Association "Аlraid" declares carrying out of the International Competition of Readers of the Holy Quran of the name of Sheikh Abdallah al-Mubarak As-Subah.

Competition is carried out under the leadership of her majesty, madam Suada as-Subah with support of the World Islamic Charitable Organization (Kuwait) and the World Organization on studying of the Holy Quran (Saudi Arabia).

Following levels are provided:

1. The whole Quran (30 ajiza);

2. Half of the Quran (15 ajiza);

3. The quarter of the Quran, starting with sura "Yasin";

4. The last 3 ajiza.

Readers of the Quran will take part in competition from the post-Soviet territory countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Belarus, Russia (Dagestan, Tatarstan) and Ukraine.

In Ukraine record on participation in the competition, with preliminary selection of the contestants in the regions, is carried out until October, 15th, 2010. Interested persons may address the nearest Islamic Cultural Centre of the AUASO "Аlraid":

• ICC of Simferopol (Crimea and the south of Ukraine): Amin Kasim, mob. (093) 641 04 83, (093) 641 04 83.

Competition will take place in the Islamic Cultural Centre of Simferopol on October, 24-25th, 2010.

Sheikh Abdullah al-Mubarak As-Subah whose name carries the competition, was the known patron of art, one of the founders of the state of Kuwait; competition is organized at the initiative of his wife Suada As-Subah.
