It’s great to thank the people who fight for each patient with their owl health and even lives often at stake, but walking the walk and taking care of them is much more telling. Administration of Kyiv Islamic Cultural Centre, which has been distributing free grocery packs among its needy parishioners since the COVID-19 quarantine was enforced, found an opportunity to parcel out 60 of such packs for the medical workers dealing with COVID-19-positive patients.

On 10 April, 30 of those packs were delivered to the infectious disease ward of Oleksandrivsky Clinical Hospital of Kyiv, and another 30 were delivered for employees of Kyiv City Virological Laboratory.

That was the Muslims’ way of showing their appreciation for the medical staff’s work, and at the same time relieving some at least some of their everyday worries.
