Halal Certification and Research Center "Alraid" called upon the consumers of halal products to be careful, as some unfair producers tried to fake the "Alraid" Halal Certificate. They published a respective appeal on their website.
"We’ve been receiving warning reports from Crimea lately. Owners of halal stores call us and ask if we really issued halal certificate for some or other sausage manufacturer. We officially state that not a single sausage manufacturer had been certified by the “Alraid” Halal certification And Research Center at the present.
The saddest thing is that those people tried to fake documents: unfair sausage producers scanned a real certificate issued for the “Nasha Ryaba” halal chicken, photoshopped the image, replaced the product title and printed this coloured picture on a cardboard. They show this “document”, willing to sell their product. The quality of the paper and the image, of course, is lower than in the original certificate, and the protection elements don’t look real — and the businessmen call us for that reason and ask if it was in fact issued by us.
We are afflicted by these reports. Such actions (fraud, forgery, saying that someone said and did the things they didn’t do) are strictly condemned by Islam (not to mention the Ukrainian Legislation), and are not only against us, but also against the Muslim consumers who invest their time and efforts in finding halal food not for being fooled in result.
Our team considers working out additional means of protection in order to turn off possibilities for similar manipulations in the future.
Information about every certified producer and product is published on our website instantly, and if some producer or product is not listed — be sure that it didn’t (or couldn’t) get certified.
It bears reminding that the only producers of poultry and beef certified at the present are “Nasha Ryaba” ™ and “Kozyatyn Meat Plant” PJSC respectively."
