Iran is ready to render the financial help to the Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea (RAMC) for building of the Cathedral mosque in Simferopol. The co-chairman of the Supervisory board concerning building of the given object, the leader of the Medzhlis, Mustafa Dzhemilev, informed on it journalists in Simferopol.
As it was noted by Mustafa Dzhemilev, at a rough guess, the building of the Cathedral mosque will cost not less than 80 million dollars. "We already received three outline sketches, very beautiful projects, I look at these projects and I think how much it will cost. I am far not the builder, but I think that not less than 80 million dollars", he stated.
According to Mustafa Dzhemilev, for today between the RAMC and the Religious Administration of Muslims of Turkey there are arrangements on rendering of financial support by the last in building of the Cathedral mosque. However if these means will be insufficient, the leader of the Medzhlis noted, other sources will be found. "We were addressed from Iran too […]. Probably, if we will not get sufficient material support for the building of the mosque there (in Turkey – ed."Novoross.info") it is not excluded that we will address them, too", Mustafa Dzhemilev stated.
Moreover, the RAMC intend to address the Muslims of Ukraine and other citizens of the country with the request to donate for building of the object.
"The matter is not in money. I think, money will be found. But it is very important that all compatriots participated in the building of this Cathedral mosque. It has considerably greater value when all believers participate […]. I think, on May, 18th, there will be a call to our compatriots that initiated this campaign for fund raising", Mustafa Dzhemilev noted.
In his turn the first deputy of the chairman of the Medzhlis, Refat Chubarov, informed that after the May holidays will be declared a competition on the outline sketch of building of the complex of the Cathedral mosque which will last 2-2,5 months, and in autumn of the current year the first preparatory building work will be started.
Let us remind, on February, 15th, 2011, the Simferopol City Council made a decision on granting of the permission to working out of the project on land allocation to the Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea of the land area for building of the Cathedral mosque in Yaltinskaya Street, 22, in Simferopol.
On March, 2nd, the City Council of the Crimean capital confirmed developed by the RAMC the land management project on land allocation sized 2,7 hectares in Yaltinskaya street, 22, for building of the Cathedral mosque and transferred this site in constant using to the given religious association.
