Islamic Bank of Development - to Crimean-Tatar Schools

From April, 8th till April, 11th, in Crimea took place presentation of results of the project of Islamic Bank of Development “Humanitarian help on strengthening of material base of the Crimean-Tatar schools” in which frameworks there were repaired and fully completed nine Crimean-Tatar national schools. The project initiated by the Mejlis of the Crimean-Tatar people, and in the shortest terms successfully realized by the all-Ukraine Association of Social Organizations “Аlraid” together with the Association of the Crimean-Tatar Educators “Maarifchi”.

During the presentation, curators of the project, Ismail Kadi, Ali Mohamad Taha and the chief of the department of education and culture Safure Kadzhametova showed to representatives of the Islamic Bank of Development restored Crimean-Tatar national schools. Representatives also took part in actions of the regional state administrations, regional Mejlises and “Maarifchi”, the Ministry of Education and Science of the ARC, regional city managements of education and the local public.

Project history

As it informs QHA, the given project was supported by the Islamic Bank of Development according to the offers of the Mejlis of the Crimean-Tatar people, directed in 2008.

As it is known, earlier the IBD were given documents on essential problems of development of the given schools by the Management on education and culture of the Mejlis of the Crimean-Tatar people. Thereupon, the Bank made decision to finance the project on a complex restoration and repair work of nine buildings of national schools. As the technical executor of the project was appointed the AUASO “Alraid” which in close cooperation with the Association of the Crimean-Tatar Educators “Maarifchi”, having notified Ministry of Education and Science of the ARC, in the shortest terms realized the given project. Thanks to financial support of the Islamic Bank of Development, in the given schools with the Crimean-Tatar language of instruction (the town of Ichky (Soviet), №5 Bakhchisarai, №3 Sudak, the villages of Vilino and Viktorovka, the Bakhchsarai area, the village of Zarechnoye, Dzhankoysky area, Old Crimea, the city of Kezlev (Evpatoria), the village of Ismail-bey, the town of Zuya, Karasubazar (Belogorsky area)) for half a year is made large repair work: reconstruction of buildings, classes and subject offices. Two schools are fenced by an external fence, the office equipment and the equipment for educational offices, nutrition units, educational workshops and medical offices, and also electronic library on the physics, chemistry and biology are acquired.

Gratitude

The chairman of the Mejlis Mustafa Dzhemilev expressed gratitude words to the Islamic Bank of Development in the name of the vice-president of the IBD Avada Salem Al-Usamie and trustee of the IBD Mohammad Ahmad Salem who acted as the manager of the project from the Islamic Bank, and also the AUASO “Alraid” for the rendered help on strengthening of material base of schools with the Crimean-Tatar language of instruction.

“We highly appreciate your attention and support, especially during such a difficult period of time for each state as a world crisis”, M.Dzhemilev noted. He also paid attention of representatives of the IBR that the contribution to development and preservation of system of national education is for the Crimean-Tatar people of one of the most actual and significant spheres of life. According to M.Dzhemilev, preservation of national identity of the Crimean Tatars, which education is exercised on the basis of the national education system, is one of the main tasks of the Mejlis of the Crimean-Tatar people.

In his turn, the first deputy of the chairman of the Mejlis Refat Chubarov focused attention of the visitors on importance of realization in Crimea of various social and economic projects, including development of small and medium business.

“Depending on how soon the Crimean society becomes economically safe, the faster people will be sure in their tomorrow, and the more people living in Crimea will be able to help each other”, Refat Chubarov noticed.

The member of presidium of the Mejlis, the chairman of “Maarifchi” Safure Kadzhametova, noticed that almost all schools where the IRD brought its powerful contribution are old adapted buildings, mainly former kindergartens.

“By general efforts, we gradually converted them into schools where there was conducted study without elementary conditions. Nowadays, for such a short term, thanks to the project realization “Humanitarian help on strengthening of material base of the Crimean-Tatar schools”, at teachers and students of schools opened the second breath for further studying at the updated schools. Parents got stimulus and belief in national school”.

In the end of the action the representatives of the IBD once again confirmed readiness of the Islamic Bank of Development further to consider and support the projects offered by the Mejlis of the Crimean-Tatar people, the Spiritual Management of Muslims of Crimea and the Association of the Crimean-Tatar Educators “Maarifchi” directed on the development of education and public health services of Muslims of Crimea.
