On July 17 members of the Majlis of Crimean Tatar people – chief of the Foreign Affairs Division Ali Hamzin and chief of the Majlis Office Zair Smedlya as well the head of the NGO Arqadash hajji Hayder Ismail and journalists of the Crimean Tatar mass media met with participants of the protest action of NGO Avdet who are conducting its action in front of the Cabinet of Ministries of Ukraine in Kyiv.

QHA is informed about this by one of the protest action’s activists Rinat Shaymardan.

According to him, this delegation expressed their sincere support to the action’s participators and wished them a victory.

Also he noted during a meeting with the Mjalis delegation the CMU guards tried to hinder a video filming by jounalists demanding a governmental permission for filming. Only after intervention of the protest action’s leaders who stated about unconstitutionality of such demands, ‘arms of the law’ had to make off.

Thus, crying unlawful fact of information blockade established by the Government for the Crimean Tatar picket was confirmed, said R. Shaymardan.

It will be recalled that spiritual leader of the Crimean Moslems hajji Emirali Ablayev visited the picket twice. The Mufti stressed visiting Kyiv he considers to meet with the action’s participants as his moral obligation, to express his support and to offer up his prayer for them.

Also the Kyiv’s Crimean Tatar community has rendered great assistance: somebody took part in action in their own time, somebody gave meals and accommodation for picketers, according to picketers.

It should be noted that the protest action of the Crimean Tatars near the Cabinet of Ministries of Ukraine has lasted more than 2 months. The protesters have already demanded 68 days from the Government to settle an issue for departmental waste lands for housing for the repatriates. The NGO Avdet presents interests of more than 20 thousand families, which requests for land plots were turned down groundlessly.
