Crimean Tatar Mejlis and Charitable organisation “Fund Crimea” were forced out of their own building in Simferopol at a demand of Central District court of the city. Russian officer receivers also arrested the Fund’s property and accounts, as reported by the member of Mejlis and executive director of Charitable organisation “Fund Crimea” Mr.Riza Shevkiev.
“We left all the buildings in Simferopol, people living there had to move out, and people working there were fired. All our property and accounts are under arrest,” — he said, noting that that was not the final court decision, but only “provisional remedy”.
It bears reminding that rummages in the homes of Crimean Tatar families, particularly members of mejlis, became more frequent over the past week. The law enforcers break into the houses under the pretence of searching weapons, drugs and forbidden literature.
FSB officers rummaged the building of the Crimean Tatar mejlis on September 16, and sealed it. According to the current Head of Mejlis Mr.Refat Chubarov, such actions are repressions against the Crimean tatars who didn't recognize Crimea’s annexation by Russia.
The self-proclaimed “Head of Crimean Government” Mr.Sergey Aksenov said earlier that there was no such thing as Crimean Tatar Mejlis and it couldn’t represent the interests of Crimean Tatars as this organisation hadn’t been properly registered.
