A plane with Ukrainian Muslims willing to perform one of the greatest ceremonies of Islam — Hajj — took off from “Boryspil” International Airport on September 27. 84 Ukrainian Muslims left for the pilgrimage this year within Ukrainian quota, while 150 Crimean Muslims went within the Quota of Russian Federation.
The pilgrims first arrived to the city of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), Madinah, in order to leave for Makkah afterwards and perform the Umrah. Between October 3 and 7 they are to fulfill the ceremonies of Hajj as well.
The group of Ukrainian pilgrims will be accompanied by the Deputy Mufti of RAMU “Umma” Shaikh Imad Abu-r-Rubb all along the way.
This year is the forst time when Ukrainian pilgrims perform Hajj within the quota of two countries, Ukraine and Russia. They are to return home on October 16.
