RAMC Asks Majlis to Consider Extremist Religious Organizations Question

he Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people received the official appeal of the Crimean Muftiyat with an expression of anxiety about the carrying in midst of the Crimean Tatar people by the extremist religious organizations, including Hizb-ut-Tahrir. The Chairman of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP Mustafa Djemilev said about it at the press conference in Aqmescit (Simferopil), October 27, QHA informs.

According to M. Djemilev, the members of Muftiyat anxious about the facts, when the representatives of extremist religious organizations are trying to capture mosques and dismiss imams. "In this regard, the Crimean Muftiyat appealed to consider this question and to work out the system of methods of resistance the development of such events at the meeting of the Majlis" – Mr Djemil said.

He noted that the meeting of the Majlis to consider all these issues has been not yet taken place. "But this question we will consider at the highest level" – the MP noted.

Moreover, Mr Djemil added that all the mosques on the territory of Crimea should be transferred to the Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea (RAMC), but not to some kind of religious organizations.

As to the appointment and dismissal of imams, so the chairman of the Majlis believes it is out of the question that someone has the right to dismiss imams, because only Religious Administration of Muslims appoints imams at all Islamic countries.

"If we implement this system, then we will make a definite step to the stabilization of the religious question" – Mr Djemil added.
