On November, 5th, 2007 in the Islamic social cultural center of Kiev took place a conference «Islam in the world of globalization». The organizers of this meeting were Ukrainian public organization «The Ukrainian center of Islamic researches» and Ukrainian association of social organizations «Аl’raid». Conference has been dated to the 10th anniversary of activity IАSО «Аrraid» in Ukraine.
From the moment of foundation the Association united on equal bases 15 public organizations from the different regions of Ukraine. As a result in 2007 was registered the Ukranian association of social organizations «Al'raid», which is the successor of the Inter-regional association of social organizations of «Arraid».
In the conference have been present the famous people of science, education and culture, representatives of public authorities, public and religious organizations, foreign guests and diplomats from the different countries of the world.
Among participants of conference were famous in Islamic world Shakib bin Maklouf - the president of Federation of Islamic organizations in Europe; Udovenko G.Y. - the folk deputy of Ukraine; Sagan A.N. - the adviser of sekritariate of President of Ukraine; Khavadzhi R.F. - a deputy of permanent representative of president of Ukraine in ARC and others.
Lecturers have noted, that fast and controversial propagation of processes of globalization in the modern world attracts many challenges. Sights of participants of conference refer in unified. Globalization should not lead to destruction of spirituality of people. It is necessary to endeavour to that during globalization a variety of cultures and identity of all people was kept. In assistance to these processes the greater creative role is played with a Islam which even in conditions of globalization remains the greatest authority for the most part of population on all continents of our planet. There are no doubts that the Islam is capable to give deep and adequate answers for difficult questions of the present.
Chairman of UАSО «Al'raid» Ismail Kadi in his report has acquainted visitors and participants of conference with results of work of Association "Arraid" for the ten years' period. In a break of conference to visitors was showed the documentary film «Arraid is 10 years», which was opening all aspects of activity of Association. The presented materials testify that in the Ukrainian society charities of «Al'raid» is especially positively perceived, which directed for helping the most requiring layers of a society. Among the charitable projects carried out by Association – assistance in arrangement of many artesian chinks and tanks for potable water in steppe areas of Crimea; maintenance of functioning of a medical aid station in Bakhchisarai, material support of 600 children-orphans; transfer to 450 needy families of milk cows; erection of hothouses, etc.
During conference have been summed a conclusions of III-th Allukranian competition of islamic researches by it. A.Krymskiy on a theme «Islam in the world of globalization». Totaly 34 works have been presented in this year.Jury has pleasantly surprised quantity and quality of the scientific works participating in competition. This fact also became for jury a small complexity in definition of the best works. The first place took a work «Development of economic activities in conditions of globalization» A.Boyko from Odessa, the second place has been given to work «Rights system of globalization of the financial markets: opportunities of rapproachement of norms of the right of Islamic and Ukrainian legal systems» by N.Fronya from Kiev, and work «the Islamic perspective of globalization in a context of sociological doctrine Аbd Arrahmana ibn Khal'duna» by M. Yakubovich from Rovno took the third place. The S.Zinko's book «the Islam in modern world politics» had admited by special prize.
